These Regulations may be called the “Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (Electricity Supply Code) Regulations, 2009”. These Regulations shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official gazette. These Regulations shall extend to the whole State of Goa and Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Puducherry & Lakshadweep. These Regulations shall apply to all distribution licensees engaged in the business of supplying electricity (as covered) under license granted under section 14 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the consumers of electricity.
